The verdict
The best-known star projector and genuinely lovely for the first few nights — the laser-and-nebula effect is more convincing than the cheap LED versions. Our score is low because the novelty is the product: adults stop using these within weeks, and the housing feels like its price. It still earns a place on the teenage and grandchild lists, where delight is the point and permanence is not.

What it is like to live with
We include this because a lot of gift sites do not say the quiet part. It arrives, the room fills with stars, everyone is delighted, and a month later it is on top of a wardrobe. That is not a defect — it is what a novelty light is.
Judged as that, it is good value, especially discounted. Judged as a gift for an adult who will still be using it at Easter, spend the money on something else.
