Parachute Waffle Robe review
Parachute
A hotel robe that dries overnight and does not swallow the wearer.
Tested by The GiftsVerdict team

The verdict
Turkish cotton waffle, light enough for summer and warm enough over pyjamas, and it dries on a hook overnight — which is the specification that matters in a British or New England winter. Sizing is generous and unfitted, which also makes it one of the few safe clothing gifts when someone’s size is changing.
What we liked
- Dries overnight on a hook rather than staying damp
- Waffle weave is light in summer and warm layered in winter
- Unfitted, so it works through changing sizes
- Deep pockets that hold a phone
What we did not
- Not warm enough alone in a genuinely cold house
- Pale colours show everything
- Size ranges are narrower than the budget brands — check before buying
What it is like to live with
Robes are one of the few gifts where guessing the size wrong is embarrassing, which is why the generous unfitted cut matters as much as the fabric. When in doubt, size up; nobody has ever complained that a robe was too roomy.
The waffle weave is the reason to choose this over towelling. Towelling holds water and stays damp on a hook for a day; waffle dries overnight, which is the difference between a robe used every morning and one that smells faintly of a gym.
