What we can tell you factually: it is £44, about $56, which is the cheapest way into this category that we know of; the questions are answered by typing or speaking; and there is no fixed weekly deadline to fall behind. If that matters more to you than the price, Storyworth has years of books behind it.

What it is like to live with
The problem every life-story service is trying to solve is the same one: a parent or grandparent has a head full of things nobody has written down, and asking them to "write their memoirs" produces nothing at all. Fifty specific questions, arriving one at a time, produce a great deal more than one enormous open request.
What LifePages does differently from the market leader is remove the schedule. Storyworth sends one question a week for twelve months, which suits people who like a rhythm and quietly defeats people who do not. Here the questions are answered at whatever pace works — four in an afternoon, or one a fortnight — and the book is printed when it is done.
There is no body of customers to point at, no years of delivered books, no long record of what happens when something goes wrong. Anyone who wants a proven product should buy Storyworth and not feel they have been talked out of anything.
